School Children

自閉症譜系障礙 (ASD) 兒童比其他兒童需要更長的時間來學習社交技能。 ASD 兒童難以掌握的一些技能包括：

  • 對話技巧——例如，選擇談論什麼或使用什麼肢體語言

  • 遊戲技巧——例如，輪流玩遊戲或分享玩具

  • 情緒技能——例如，管理情緒和理解他人的感受

  • 解決問題的技能——例如，處理衝突或在社交場合做出決定。

社交技能可以幫助您的孩子結交朋友、向他人學習並發展愛好和興趣。這些技能還可以幫助處理家庭關係並給您的孩子一種歸屬感。

我們的社交技能小組由訓練有素的從業人員協助，旨在幫助所有年齡段的兒童發展和提高他們的社交和情感技能。

根據各組參與者的年齡，每個組通常包括：

  • 合作與談判

LET'S GET SOCIAL

Suitable for 6 - 8 years old

Group focus:

  • Developing social communication skills

  • Working as a team

  • Expanding vocabulary

  • Learning concepts

  • Develop problem solving skills

 

Location:

13 Windsor Avenue, Mount Waverley

Time and Date:

Every weekly Thursday between 17th  October and 12th December 2024

3.45 - 4.30pm

Registration:

Fees: $1215 (9 sessions, $135 per 40-minute session, 5 minutes parent feedback and 10 minutes documentation time)

School Readiness Group

READY, SET, SCHOOL

Suitable for 4 - 6 years old

​

Let’s get ready for school! Our school readiness group is run by an Occupational Therapist and a Speech Pathologist. We offer a supportive environment where your child can develop essential skills (e.g., engaging in group activities, writing letters, following classroom instructions) for a successful and smooth transition to school.

​

Group focus:

  • Engage in group activities

  • Early literacy skills

  • Write letters

  • Listen and follow classroom instructions

  • Social skills

  • Gross/Fine motor skills

​

Location:

13 Windsor Avenue, Mount Waverley

​

Time and Date:

Every weekly Wednesday between 9th October to 11th December 2024

10.30 - 11.30am

​

Registration:

Fees: $1500 (10 sessions, $150 per 45-minute session, 15 minutes parent feedback and documentation time)

Social Skills Group

MUSIC THERAPY GROUP

Suitable for 4 - 6 years old

​

Group focus:

  • Social skills (e.g. interactions, turn-taking, sharing)

  • Cognitive skills (e.g. attention, following instructions)

  • Communication skills (e.g. listening, expressing preferences and choices, understanding non-verbal cues)

  • Emotional regulation (e.g. understanding emotions, expressing feeling in music)

  • Creativity (e.g. develop creativity and imagination through improvisation and composition)

 

Location:

Every fortnight Friday between 17th September to 20th December

4:00pm-5:30pm

Fees: $190 (5 sessions, $190 per 75-minute session, 15 minutes parent feedback and documentation time)

Activities of Daily Living Intensive Program

SELF-CARE & TOILETING 

Suitable from at least 2 years old.

​

Develop toilet training skills:

  • Physical skills (eg. muscle control, ability to sit etc)

  • Sensory processing (eg. body awareness, coping with sensory environment of toilet etc)

  • Concept understanding (eg. awareness of tasks involved for toileting)

  • Communication 

​

Location:

Mount Waverley OR Blackburn North

*Initial home visit(s) required for Occupational Therapist to familiarise with home toileting environment.

​

Time and Date:

Intensive sessions booked 2 to 4 times a week, depending on availability, in program blocks. Duration of program is individualised.

​

Fees: $193.99 per session (50 minutes therapy, 10 minutes documentation time). *Travel fees determined based on time and distance travelled and is in addition to session fees.

​

  • Sitting posture, positioning and pencil grips

  • Shapes and letter formation

For aspiring detectives! Each day, you'll tackle engaging case files, decode clues, and collaborate with fellow detectives to solve thrilling puzzles. With a mix of interactive games, team-based problem-solving tasks, and hands-on activities, you'll develop your investigative skills while building confidence and making new friends.
