School Children

自閉症譜系障礙 (ASD) 兒童比其他兒童需要更長的時間來學習社交技能。 ASD 兒童難以掌握的一些技能包括：

社交技能可以幫助您的孩子結交朋友、向他人學習並發展愛好和興趣。這些技能還可以幫助處理家庭關係並給您的孩子一種歸屬感。

我們的社交技能小組由訓練有素的從業人員協助，旨在幫助所有年齡段的兒童發展和提高他們的社交和情感技能。

Social Skills Group

CRAFT & LITERACY

Suitable for 4 to 6 years old

For children to learn and develop their phonics skills through arts and craft

​

Program focus:

  • Phonological awareness

  • Letter name and sound recognition

  • Develop fine motor skills

  • Express creativity

 

Location:

13 Windsor Avenue, Mount Waverley

1 to 4 July (Mon - Thu)

9.30am to 12.00pm

DINO EXPLORERS

Suitable for 7 to 9 years old

Dino Explores will be suitable for your child if they have an interest in dinosaurs or are keen to learn more about them!

​

Focus for this group:

  • Expand vocabulary

  • Develop social communication skills

  • Working as a team

  • Develop creative thinking

  • Developing fine motor skills

  • Develop problem solving skills

​

GAME TIME

Suitable for 10 to 13 years old

Join ‘Game Day’ at Therapy Lab to explore different board games and card games. Games provide opportunities for children to practice speech, express themselves, and interact with peers in a fun and structured environment.

  • Following rules

  • Problem solving

  • Social communication skills

  • Role-playing

  • Develop self-advocacy

  • Executive function

  • Team work

​

School Readiness Program

READY, STEADY, SCHOOL!

A term group suitable for 3-5 years old (Prep and Kinder children)

A group to target skills needed for school such as:

  • Building phonological awareness skills

  • Following instructions

  • Developing fine and gross motor skills

  • Interacting with peers

  • Learn about emotions

​

Location:

13 Windsor Avenue, Mount Waverley

Time and Date:

Every Wednesday between 17th April to 5th June

10:30am-12:00pm

​

Registration:

Fees: $1,560 (8 sessions, $195 per 90-minute session)
